WHAT IS A 'TRANSPONDER KEY'?A transponder is a chip inside of your keys plastic shell which disarms a vehicles immobiliser when the key is used to start the engine. The majority of keys for cars built after 1995 contain transponder chips as an added security measure.
DOES MY KEY NEED TO BE PROGRAMMED?If your vehicle was built after 1995, you will more than likely have a 'transponder key' (see above) which needs to be programmed specifically to your vehicle. Your car will not start if you have a transponder key which is not programmed. Occasionally keys can be programmed by the owner with simple instructions but in most cases, programming will need to be carried out by a professional locksmith or an authorised dealer.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY KEY BROKE OFF IN THE DOOR?Contact us and we can remove the broken key from your door barrel with ease. We can then supply, cut and program a new key for your vehicle if required.
IS THERE A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TO A REMOTE KEY?Some remote keys can be a little pricey but rest assured, there are alternatives. We can supply, cut and program a standard transponder key to your vehicle which will unlock the doors and start the ignition. This is a more cost-effective option.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE MY VIN #?The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of a car is just like a fingerprint. It is unique to your vehicle and if you can provide it to us, we will be able to efficiently obtain a code to cut your key to the exact factory specification of your original key.
We also use your VIN to ensure we have the correct specifications/model details of your vehicle so that we can provide the correct key/remote for your specific vehicle.
I FOUND MY LOST KEYS AFTER YOU MADE A NEW ONE AND THEY NO LONGER WORK. WHY IS THIS AND CAN YOU FIX IT?When you have lost your keys, we disable the lost key/keys to ensure no one can unlock or start your car unlawfully. If you happen to find the lost keys, we will be able to reprogram the key/keys back into your vehicle.

I CAN'T OPEN MY CAR AND MY REMOTE ISN'T WORKING. CAN YOU HELP ME?We sure can! We will gain entry to your vehicle using our specialty tools, diagnose the issue with the remote and then supply and program a new remote if required.
MY KEY IS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. CAN YOU REMOVE IT?We are able to remove keys stuck in the ignition and also the door barrels. We can then supply, cut and program a new key if required.
MY KEY IS BROKEN, CAN YOU REPAIR IT?We will inspect the key and advise you of the best option. We may be able to simply replace parts but in some cases, the whole key may need to be replaced.
